Hello. You’ve reached Ueno, a digital agency hell-bent on creating the world’s most beautiful digital products, brands, and experiences. We’re young-ish but maturing, small-ish but growing, and out of our fancy offices in San Francisco, New York, Los Angeles and Reykjavík, we work with a bunch of companies you may have heard of, on projects you may have seen, and products you may have used.
But enough about us. Let’s talk about you.
We need your help.
You see, we’re looking for a Content Strategist.
Someone who’s kind of like a designer, but instead of working with pixels, does things using strategy, concepts, words, and stories.
Someone who’s good with words, but more importantly, good with the things behind the words; someone who understands what a client is trying to achieve, and may even be better than them at articulating it.
Someone who’s a good listener, and good at explaining why they think what they think.
Someone who understand designers and how to work with them; someone who can give them valuable feedback, and take theirs.
Someone who thinks both big and small: from high-level strategies to the tiniest microcopy.
Someone who can structure and write content for websites, apps, emails, social media, and even the occasional ad campaign.
Someone who’s mastered the art of voice and tone for all occasions.
Someone who can do the work themselves, and can also guide and mentor others.
Someone who gets along well with people: our clients, designers, project managers, creative directors, office managers, the people who clean our offices, the ones who bring our lunches, and all the rest of us.
Someone who’s spent more than five years at an agency doing what they do (and maybe also been on the client-side for a while).
Someone who always reads all the bullet points.
Is this you? Don’t overthink it. Get in touch, and tell us everything. Nothing bad will happen.
This position is based in San Francisco. Valid work visa required. No recruiters, please.
Our bright and bustling office in Soma is a hotbed of creativity. We’re just down the street from Twitter, who for some reason still hasn’t asked us to work for them. What’s up with that?
No need to be formal. Just send us your links and we’ll be in touch.
